Frequently asked questions

Our umpire clinic is designed for anyone interested in learning how to umpire or advancing their umpire skills. Whether you're a beginner with no prior experience, a current umpire looking to improve your knowledge, or someone pursuing a more advanced umpiring career, this clinic provides the training, rules education, and on-field experience needed to grow with confidence.

When is the 2026 umpire training clinic scheduled?

The 2026 umpire training clinic runs from October 7–11, 2026. Participants will check in on Wednesday, October 7, with training sessions taking place Thursday through Sunday, October 8–11.

What does CCA Manual stand for in umpiring?

The CCA Manual stands for the Collegiate Commissioners Association Baseball Umpire Manual. It is the official resource used by college baseball umpires to learn proper mechanics, rules applications, and game management at the collegiate level.

Does this umpire clinic guarantee me a job as an umpire?

Attending this umpire training clinic does not guarantee employment. However, it gives you the chance to improve your skills, receive professional instruction, and get in front of decision-makers and supervisors who hire umpires for different levels of play.

How many spots are available for the umpire clinic?

To ensure a high-quality, personalized training experience, our umpire clinic is limited to just 75–100 participants per session. This small-group format allows for more one-on-one instruction, detailed feedback, and increased on-field repetitions on using the CCA Umpire Manual.

Due to limited availability and high demand from aspiring college baseball umpires across the country, we strongly recommend registering early to secure your spot.
